Yes , demo is free of risk I think demo trading account is just like real trading account. You invest money and then you win or loss money according to your investment strategic. But there is no profit or loss in demo account but not in as well in live account.

A demo account in the Forex is the one which will not give you real profit if you are earning and will also not give loss as this account is made for practicing and getting experience while on the other hand real account is the one through which you loss in real and earn real money it is not for practice so be careful while trading through real account.
