Technically, although the USD / CAD is moving at the top of its downward channel and seems to be having trouble falling further, the outlook remains bearish as long as it does not exit above the Bollinger bands and does not exceed its moving average at 50 periods over the 4-hour time unit.
The next major supports to watch will be the lowest of 2017 and 2018 at 1.3788 and 1.3664 respectively.
If the channel and Bollinger Bands exit via the top and the MM50 periods are crossed, the outlook would become bullish until the recent high of 1.4689.
