Gold is maintaining its respectable high levels despite today's rise on bonds, new ATHs on U.S. markets yesterday and a bullish start to today's E.U. stock market session. Even with the DXY on a (D) rebound since the Dec 12 bottom, Gold (XAUUSD on my analysis) displays its underlying strong trend which is bullish. On the short term I see a very slow ascending channel on the (H)1 with the (H)4 MA50 supporting (now at 1,473.45). If it holds we can finally get the 1,484 (D) Resistance test. The Lower High trendline from the (W) Channel Down classes with the (D) Channel Up and creates a wedge, this is why we are neutral on the medium term (H)4 neutral RSI # 54.202, Highs/Lows # 0.000 and (D) neutral RSI # 54.097, Highs/Lows # 0.0000). Gold is simply waiting for a break out with volume so that more investors can jump in on the trend.
