Round-up: Gold futures prices ended the session moderately higher, and hit a fresh five-week high on Monday. Bulls still have some near-term technical momentum on their side.
Fundamental Outlook: The expected outcome of a Federal Open Market Committee meeting (FOMC) this week should be supportive for gold even if policy-makers do what traders already expect by leaving ultra-loose monetary accommodation in place, with greater potential for upside if officials go one step further and make it clear that they cannot taper under current conditions.
Technical Outlook: Yellow metal is having good 49 week resistance on 1664 level and major support at 1339. It can move either side depends on the breakout. If this bullish short-term pattern continues; we may see the color of 1412 levels.
