Overall consumer prices increased 1.8 percent in the 12 months ended in June, more than projected and after a 1.4 percent year-over-year gain the prior month.
The core CPI rose 1.6 percent from June 2012, in line with projections and following a 1.7 percent advance in the prior 12 month period.
Energy costs increased 3.4 percent from a month earlier. Gasoline prices jumped 6.3 percent, the most since February.
Food costs rose 0.2 percent, reflecting higher prices for cereals and meats.
Today�s report showed automobile prices increased 0.3 percent.
Hourly earnings adjusted for inflation were unchanged in June from a month earlier, after a 0.1 percent decrease the prior month. They were up 0.4 percent over the past 12 months.

Gold on the hourly chart has formed a clear converging triangle, this figure is bullish in nature, so in the first place (to buy) I'll be waiting for a breakthrough upper boundary of the triangle (the resistance in 1294) for the continuation of the main trend, this breakthrough will open in 1320 and 1340.

now after trying to test the resistance area, from H1 chart we can see the candlestick bar getting more tiny. this can be a sign that the resistance area can't be break for this test today and it should be fall back to downside after a few moment.
