Gold prices fell on Friday, ahead of the ECOFIN meeting in Europe, closing an ugly week for precious metals. Indeed, behind yesterday's session that included the highest profit taking and equities (S & P), the yellow metal has not been able to get any momentum today. After testing a support that has been broken in 1567, prices are now edging lower during the European trade as this level has been turned into resistance. In the end, a move above 1570 would alleviate many concerns bearish, but at this point it has not been proven. At the time of writing, gold is trading at USD $ 1557.57 per ounce.
