I try to exploit breakouts of hourly inside bars and just messed it up... missed a clear entry on Dec 17th @1238 which was not touched by yesterday's FOMC news. It might have been THE entry for 2019!
Today there was another inside bar @1257 which "seemed" too expensive but it would be in profit right now. The next two weeks will have low liquidity but it's the moment to buy on any dip.
Either if the FED stops hiking or not, the trouble is already made. No more hikes: short-term positive for gold. Further hikes: could be negative at first, but it will speed up another market crash and gold would go up sooner of later.
I believe in the coming big crash, as people like Peter Schiff, Marc Faber and Francis Hunt announce all the time - not because those guys are so trustworthy, but because I believe such crashes are meant to happened and the market cycles are engineered in order to transfer wealth. To short stocks and buy gold are the best ways to go when the time is ripe.
