AUD / JPY closed the day down 14 points at 100.67. It was a quiet day for the pair traded in a range between 101.02 and 100.40. Later in the session will be released Aussie Employment Change is scheduled at 01:30 GMT. Given the recent RBA rate cuts, volatility may increase depending on how the actual data is compared with the estimate.

From a technical perspective, the pair remains trapped in the recent trade between 99.90 and 102.50. It will be important to monitor levels, especially on a closing basis. A daily close above 102.50 could open up the opportunity to 103.84 (highs of 15 April). On the other hand, a daily close below 99.90 could open up space for more support close to 98.74 (the lowest price of 15 April).
