While much volatility was seen elsewhere, nothing much has happened in EUR/CHF last week. The cross continued to gyrate inside very tight range. In any case, downside attempt should be contained by SNB's 1.2 floor. Upside volatility could be seen if any speculations revive. But we'd, after all, treat that as volatility only unless we see some "real" developments.

In the long term picture, after SNB intervention, the long term down trend in EUR/CHF is put into a halt at 1.0061. While the whole rebound from 1.0061 was strong, there is no scope of trend reversal yet. And, we'd expect strong resistance inside 1.2399/3243 resistance zone to limit upside unless there is a drastic turn in risk sentiments. But in any case, downside should be contained by 1.2, the floor set by SNB.

The single currency was able to edge up slightly after better then the expected Eurozone pmls,
Which revealed growth in the bloc was higher than expected in February .
The dollar suffered some losses on Friday after pml data revealed the services sector contracted ,falling to a 76 month lo markit preliminary .
Munafacturing purchasing managers for February was expected to drop from 45.3 to 44.8 points - below the 50 point . dear threshold separating expansion and contraction the services pml was projected to to slid from 54.2 to 53.8 points .

US Session Trade Setup - EUR/CHF Fakeout Pattern

The EUR/CHF hasn't moved much so far despite the breakout of the descending triangle pattern, which later proved to be a fakeout pattern. The EUR/CHF played a fakeout setup on the hourly timeframe as we can see it broke the descending triangle pattern, which extended support around 1.0604. Even after closing candles below this support, the pair took a sharp bullish flight. At the moment, it's trading at 1.0630, just below the double top resistance level of 1.0646.
