Kirkland Lake Gold (NYSE:KL) announced today 330,864 ounces of production, an increase of 98,985 ounces or 43% from 231,879 ounces for the first quarter of 2019.
Production from Detour Lake Mine year-to-date totaled 91,555 ounces.
The company said Fosterville production was strong at 159,864 ounces, 24% increase from 128,445 ounces in Q1 2019 reflecting a 46% improvement in the average grade to 42.4 g/t; Q1 2020 production compared to record quarterly production of 191,893 ounces in the fourth quarter of 2019, with the change mainly reflecting a record average grade of 49.3 g/t the previous quarter.
