EUR/GBP was lower on Wednesday, trading slightly above the mark of 0.89. The pair remained under pressure on a weaker Euro as ECB President Mario Draghi said yesterday that more stimulus might be required as inflation struggles to pick up. One form of stimulus is even lower interest rates. In the UK, Boris Johnson remains the frontrunner in the race to become the next leader of Britain's Conservative Party. The former mayor of London was the clear favourite among the party's 313 MPs in a second secret ballot, held on Tuesday afternoon, storming ahead with 126 votes, 80 ahead of his nearest rival, Jeremy Hunt. The next round of votes is to take place later today (Wednesday). Also in the UK, fresh CPI data for May will be released at 9:30 GMT+1.
