The intraday bias in EUR / JPY remains on the positive side for now. The current rebound from the 94.11 short-term bottom should extend to the 38.2% retracement of 111.43 to 94.11 at the next 110.72. On the downside, below 97.96 minor support will change the neutral bias and bring consolidation first.
In the bigger picture, there are no clear reversal signs and the downtrend from 2008 highs at 169.96 may extend lower to 90 psychological levels. However, because we support the case that the pattern of 139.21 is a falling wedge with bullish convergence in the weekly MACD. A fall from 111.43 must be the last leg in such a pattern. Therefore, we would expect strong support above 88.96 to hold the downside, form a major bottom and bring a reversal. So, the focus will remain on the reversal signal. Meanwhile, a break of the resistance 101.62 will be an early sign of medium-term bottoming and will refocus to 111.43 key resistance for confirmation.
