(Kitco News) - Precious metals have plunged in the markets, but there is still demand for physical coins in the midst of the coronavirus outbreak, this according to Phil Streible, chief market strategist of Blue Line Futures.

“I can tell you one thing, I called around the last couple of days trying to buy physical metals, specifically physical silver, and silver was a $1.50 to $2.00 over spot, so there is an underlying demand that is out there right now, just more on the physical side,” Streible told Kitco News.

The EURJPY pair succeeded to build new bearish channel to reinforce the bearish scenario, depending on the strength of 120.10 resistance by suffering new negative trades in the near term and medium term period.



Also, the stability of the moving average 55 around the major resistance confirms blocking the price within the negative range, expecting to move towards 117.65 followed by attempting to press on 116.30 level in order to move into new negative track in the upcoming period.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. stocks fell sharply on Monday as the Federal Reserve’s drastic move to cut interest rates to near zero fueled anxiety over the extent of economic damage from the coronavirus pandemic.
