News) - Gold prices rose after news that sales of new U.S. single-family homes fell by 15.4% in March to a seasonally adjusted and annualized pace of 627,000. Spot gold extended its early strength, last trading up $24.30 to $1,738.40 an ounce.

Consensus estimates compiled by various news organizations called for sales to be between 628,000 and 645,000. The Commerce Department revised sales for February to 741,000 from the originally reported 765,000.

The USDCAD rally from the July low likely completed a flat from the May low. The tell is the 3 wave decline from the June high, which is suggestive of a B wave. As such, expectations are for an eventual drop under the July low. Levels that may provide interim support are 9650, 9610, 9530, and 9444. Resistance should be strong at 9875. I am guided by indicators Stochasis (7,5,3) which break high and fibbo indicator trend down and assuming that there are several possible markets trend is overbought then I will use the trapping strategy with market position BUY I predict this pair have bullish direction
