same importance with gaining profits in trading because it will be useless to gain high amount of profits if it is drained with huge losses too. It is not easy to gain consistency on profit and to make it happen, we don't have choice except with controlling risk beside capability on gaining profits

if we are using scalping strategy or EA that has 10 or more traders per day, risking 5% per trade is big already, another factor also is how discipline we are as a trader will also contribute to the risk, because if a trader is not discipline enough that he will commit mistakes along the way that can also give him additional unnecessary loses. trader should give priority to manage risk, do not just focus on profit only. because forex is a high risk and high return. I prioritize in managing risk. prior to market entry, we have to calculate the risk, using lot size and lot size limit in accordance with the rule of money management
