Yes demo in very important to practising forex and I prefer when you feel that you can trade and your are able to trade in real account then you change over to real account. six months are enough for practising in demo account.

Only objective to trade on demo is not essential. Your objective should be to trade on the demo account with the application of the indicators, technical analysis, fundamental analysis. Then that 6 months will be much for experiance.

Testing new strategies is different, but for newbie Demo trading is a must for few months but soon he or she should come to real account trading and start with a cent account to get real trading experience.

I think that 6 months is even too much for a trader to learn demo trading and use it to build up our trading ability for the live account challenge. 1 to 2 months is good enough for all traders who are serious.

yeah 6 months is hell lot of time but you can practise on that once you start generating profits on it then shift to real one when you can earn more and more ...and llear how to analyse your trades properly

Most of the time we had not fail because of bad strategy or plan, because of not following the strategy or the plan we started.
This happens mainly due to emotions involved in trading. This will happen in Real trading account only as there is our hard earned money is involved. so it is better to start real account trading soon.

Mere nazar mein haar newbie ko demo trade karna chahiye utne din tak jab tak wo koi profitable system nahi taiyar karta... Kqun ki agar koi timeframe diya jaye to har kisi liye shayed woh kafi nehi hoga... to iske liye use demo trade karna chahiye continues har mahine..jab tak woh har month a reasonable profit nahi kama sakta...
