The KC indicator is a powerful Vertex FX indicator in both sideways and breakout markets. It defines the trading ranges in which the market is restricted during sideways mode, and the level at which the markets will breakout upwards or downwards when a strong trend is detected.
The KC indicator is calculated from two components, the Exponential Moving Average, and the Average True Range. It has two bands, the upper band and the lower band. The upper band is calculated by multiplying the ATR with the FACTOR and adding it to the EMA.
The lower band is calculated by multiplying the ATR with the FACTOR and subtracting it from the EMA.
