Many times this happens that you sit in front of your chart and there is hardly 10-20 **** movement . And suddenly you get 100+ **** fluctuation. So why not just grab the trades at those timings . Mostly it happens when different market opens .
So lets discuss those timing when market is most volatile (acc. GMT+5:30)

It is right that market volatility is high when a session opens. Although at that time you can earn a lot of profit than another time of trading, there is also a risk of losing lot of money. Because your expected trend may not happen at that time it is tough to understand the trend before opening a session. So I think small invested traders and beginners should not trade at that time.

well i trade eur/usd in my demo account for a month or so. i have seen that the pair remain most volatile in london sesson and NY sesson. its almost 1.00 pm to 9.00 pm IST. and a volatile market is the best scope to bag in some profit.

A good time to do the actual transaction depends on the individual trader who do so in accordance with the rules of strategy and systems that are used but I usually do to get the best time to do the transaction is when the opening and closing of each session in the market for this session is usually there is rapid movement.

It would be much more ideal to avoid off peak times especially trading in the night and very early in the morning in trades involving pairs like GBP/USD and EURO/USD.It is safe and better to trade when level of activity and transaction is present mainly when the market is very active.
