Well, as far as forex trading is concerned, you are everything, both the enemy and the friend. Everything depends on how well you have learned, how disciplined you are and how much psychological control you have in your trading process.

When we say that yourself is the true enemy, it means that you are the only one that can defeat yourself in forex trading if you enter the market unprepared. So when you have an enemy what do you do? You look for way to eradicate the enemy so that you will have a free way to move. That same way you look for a way to eradicate your unpreparedness so that you can have a free course to make profit in forex trading.

The inner emotions in traders mind play havoc in trading and make the trader quite confused when taking important decisions regarding the positions in the market. The only way out to control them is to go for long term trading where we will set the position with Tp and Sl , close the terminal and come back after some time to realize the profit or loss.

Very well said. There are hardly any bigger enemy than oneself. The most important technique is to focus on analysis rather get stuck with the emotions. some days are tough because my mind would have two different opinions,lol. and that would be confusing when I trade live.

That's completely right as we are the only person who choose whether we will buy or sell and we are who will earn or loss according to our decision that we have choose it so we must be aware of ourselves and kill our greedy before start trading in this market.

The thread title is exactly true, we are our own enemies because each and every wrong decision is made by us. We do mistakes ourselves. Forex is the business that needs a great deal of knowledge and experience in a trader, now it is our mistake that we start trading without proper knowledge and education.
