Malaga (AGP) is home to about 550,000 inhabitants. If you intend to stay in the Malagueta Beach area, you can mingle with the locals. Landing at Malaga Airport? Pick up your belongings, travel about 9 kilometers to the northeast of the airport, and you've reached Malagueta Beach. From there, you are only 2 kilometers from the city center of Malaga

Get to know some of the nearby tourist destinations, such as Alcazaba and Malaga Cathedral. Apart from these attractions, Gibralfaro Castle and the Malaga Amphitheater are also often recommended by tourists. Apart from that, La Malagueta and Centro are two surrounding areas that are worth visiting.

Take time to explore Picasso's Birthplace, an attractive downtown destination. See a variety of local cultures at La Casa Invisible and Center Pompidou Málaga. Visit the Picasso Museum of Malaga, the Carmen Thyssen Museum, the Center de Arte Contemporaneo and the Museo de la Semana Santa and satisfy your artistic taste with a large collection of impressive art.

    La Concepcion Botanical Gardens

This tourist spot in Malaga, Spain, was first built in 1855. The construction was designed and initiated by the Marquis and Marchioness of Loring. This tourist spot is in the form of a beautiful garden yard filled with various kinds of typical Mediterranean, tropical and subtropical flora. With its uniqueness, it is certain that this botanical garden is a garden with a very large collection of plant species from around the world.

This La Conception tourist spot offers views of the diversity of plants from various regions. More or less this magnificent park was built on an area of three hectares. This park is designed in a romantic style, so it is not surprising if some say that this tourist spot is one of the historical places in Europe.
This park was built with the slogan "Plants of the Region" in which there are approximately more than 80 species of plants. Where these plants are taken from various places, such as from the Solomon Islands, Polynesia, China, Japan, Australia, Brazil and Mexico.

The area attracts visitors in March or early April, when the flowers bloom. The park manager also provides a variety of walking routes within the park, all of which are very neatly designed to highlight the special features of the park.

Malaga - A city with a mix of Beaches & Parties perhaps it can be called as Miami of Europe from here you can explore

The beaches begin at the Morro de Levante, a pier marking the entrance to Malaga port. Towards the east of the pier you'll find the Malagueta beaches, 2,500 metres in length and bordered by the Pablo Ruiz Picasso promenade.

The promenade runs alongside one of the main beaches serving the city, Playa Caleta - it's clean, well-maintained and equipped and within easy walking distance of the town centre. From here you can see the seawalls of the nearby port and the seemingly endless coastline of the Costa del Sol.

On the far side of the port, off Calle Larios, you'll find another popular beach - Playa de la Malagueta which also has good facilities including showers. This is where the closing ceremonies of the city's annual fiesta takes place. If you can, try to plan your holiday around this spectacular fair which takes place in the first two weeks of August. It's one of the biggest fiestas in Andalucia, attracting some three million visitors with a noisy, chaotic and fun-filled street party which continues round-the-clock. One of the best ways to enjoy the city lights, garlands and fireworks at this time of year is from a boat in the port area.

Adjacent to Playa de la Malagueta is a strip of bars and restaurants which buzz with nightlife when the sun goes down.

All along this stretch of coast you'll find good seafront restaurants with local fresh fish specialties. Try one of the many "chiringuitos" - the beach bars where you can enjoy a cold drink and some local tapas.

One can also travel by car to Marbella where they can party whole night long on the famous street Purto Banus with Pubs & Dance floors on both the sides of the road.

This is a place definetly worth a visit.

We spent 2 weeeks in 2010 in Malaga, renting a condo that overlooked the Mediterranean. The area is beautiful and the people are very friendly. There are a lot of Brits who holiday in the area, so while I enjoyed using my Spanish it was also nice to speak my native tongue of English too. We took day trips to Gibraltar, the city of Ronda, famous for it's bullfighting arena, and a favorite of Ernest Hemingway's. We also visited the Picasso museum in Malaga, his hometown. We did another day trip to Al Hambre, the last moorish castle in Spain and where Christopher Columbus said goodbye to Ferdinand and Isabella. This area is steep in history, notorious as a place for the crooks of Europe to hide out and for the rich to vacation. The scenery is breathtaking! We missed the last ferry to Morocco, but I would recommend going with a tour to Africa for the day. I would strongly recommend this area, you won't be disappointed! Just watch out for the gypsies at the main attractions.
