The Old Town is a part of the city where you can still feel the traditional feel of Nice such as exploring the small churches and finding many kinds of shops around every corner. Apart from that, in the old city there are other places you shouldn't miss such as Saint François Square and its fish market, Sainte-Reparte Cathedral (Nice's oldest church), Rossetti Square, The Nice Opera or the flower market.
Masséna Square is considered the center of Nice. It was built in 1840 until it was renovated again in 2007. The square is famous for its sculptures by Catalan artist Jaume Plensa. The work of art is called Conversation À Nice and consists of a set of 7 sculptures with the shape of a person sitting like a squat about 12 meters high and representing 7 continents. These statues glow at night.
