A Review On Leicester City
For the first time in decades the top division in England has had a new champion, Leicester City, outside of established teams such as Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool.
Leicester City's achievement can be said to be phenomenal because last season, this team had to fight hard not to be thrown out of the Premier League. Leicester City was founded in 1884 by several players who happened to be good friends at a local school.
The former name for the club was Leicester Fosse, taking the name of the street near their first stadium. The city of Leicester is in the Leicestershire region which has a tradition of hunting foxes, although this tradition is increasingly being opposed in various parts of the UK. The Leicester cricket team also uses the fox as their symbol. Both cricket and football teams use the King Power stadium as their home stadium.
The name of Leicester City's main sponsor, King Power, is printed on the team's shirts and is also used as the stadium's name. King Power is a duty free shop chain founded by Thai businessman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, who is known as the ninth richest person in Thailand. Srivaddhanaprabha's wealth is estimated at US $ 2 billion.
