A Review On Leeds United FC
For true fans of the Premier League, you must know very well a club called Leeds United, a team that has been absent from competing in the Premier League for 16 years. This 'traditional' team from Yorkshire by Marcelo Bielsa is considered to be the most hated club in the whole of Great Britain, but it is worth looking forward to on the highest stage of football in mainland England.
Leeds United managed to win the Championship Division, or the second caste football competition of the Premier League. This team has been a separate force in the Premier League, even in 2001, they managed to penetrate the semifinals of the Champions League.
At that time Leeds United had many top players such as Mark Viduka, Harry Kewell, Rio Ferdinand, Alan Smith, Paull Robinson to James Milner.
In 1992, Leeds United also won the First Division competition before the English football authorities switched to the Premier League, a 'new league' designed to welcome more modern football and later to become the most popular league in the world.
Leeds United's fortunes changed drastically due to financial problems. They were relegated from the Premier League in 2004. Even Leeds had dropped to the League One caste because they were declared bankrupt.
In the 1970s, Leeds United was said to have described pure English football, namely tough, determined and physical. Their performances were often so rough that they were nicknamed Dirty Leeds.
In many polls, Leeds United are often the most hated team in England. Even this season, reported from leeds-live.co.uk, the Yorkshire-based team ranks first as the most hated team, followed by Millwall, a club from London.
