well my personal idea is mt4 is more user friendly.mt5 looks more complicated maybe couse it is still new to us.it is better to open a demo account with mt5 until mastering it.l have tried but l got some charting problem,l just return back to mt4 platform.
I have not tried using MT5 pernh, maybe with what I have seen the difference lies in the more competent facility only, the system also does not vary much with MT4. MT5 is an upgrade of MT4, so it shows its best performance.Quote:

MT5 new items still need adjustments. in MT5 to their connection seemed to be made better, so as not disconnect often. However mt5 does not allow Hedging, for example, if you open BUY, then open SELL (the same pair), then the buy transaction will close automatically.

i think that MT5 is more advance and good for an expert traders.. and they can get benefits from it....i found that it has more good executions and no requotes...while MT4 is more good for newbies and some new traders who are not too much expert...it is simple and easy to use and anyone can easily use it.....

Mt4 me aap koi bhi indicator use kar sakte hain aur isme aap koi strategy ka back test bhi kar sakte hain kyonki MT4 sabse asaan platform hai trading karne ke liye but MT5 ke naye hone ke karan abhi iske indicators aur EA nahi aae hain aur MT4 ke indicators or EA MT5 ko support nahi karte.
if you want to to use your mt4 account then there is no need to go in mt5 trading terminal.

in mt5 we have more time frame that made trading more easy. i am using mt5 terminal but only for watching the status in different timeframe.

The only difference i know is mt4 is more easy to use than mt5. Mt5 is a complicated trader since we are never used that before. Then in mt4, you can know all the shortcuts and do trades easily. That is the difference i have found and i dont know any other technical differences. So i prefer to use mt4.

as long as I still use mt4 and not interested in using MT5, although there are many advantages of MT5,
maybe later, if MT4 can not be used anymore, then I will use the new MT5 ...;)
MT4 is most convenient to use than MT5, and you can use all the services of MT4 easily, while Mt5 is i think for Traders only?? i think i am right...;)

I heard so there are some striking differences between the two and seems to still rare broker who implement mt5 platform, we also can not use scripts from there MetaTrader4 so we must do the coding prior to re-use it in MT5,
but your right, Forex is Forex not any change altough different platform...

The most advantages of Mt 5 is about precision. You can get better precision spread rate, which meaning you can get more profit with mt5. But about the simplicity i will keep using mt4 because the operation is easier than mt5.Quote:

Mainly i use mt4 cause i think its really easy but i try use mt5 if any time its easy so i do that of course.
I have used mt4 since i started trading and not felt any need to change this terminal, i traded though on several terminal in stock market but found mt4 the best one and dont intend to change it soon either.
I think that all members are using the old version .. Where everyone uses MT4 ..!
We are waiting for the newer version is a MT5 in its latest edition, a complete AND FULL Version...
