Attachment 20147
Indonesia’s entrancing island of Bali successfully captivated the world’s attention. Bali succeeded in reaching the Top in the prestigious Trip Advisor Travelers’ Choice Award named as the World’s Best Destination 2017. Crowned at number One of world destinations, the Island of the Gods outranked renowned tourist hotspots that include London, Paris, Rome, New York, Crete, Barcelona, Siem Reap, Prague and Phuket.
Bali has proven to be the Best Tourist Destination in the World encompassing all kinds of traveler’s holiday interests. Whether in natural attractions, cultural richness and gastronomic adventures, these can all be enjoyed in many spots throughout the Island of Bali. Apparently, today the urge to share these unique and memorable experiences to the world, is no longer unusual. Among the more than 17,000 islands in Indonesia, Bali still shines the brightest in terms of tourism. There are countless other tropical destinations, but for millions of tourists each year, this fascinating island is the favorite.
Here are seven reasons why you should visit Bali.
1. Captivating Cultural Scene
Bali is home to many traditional cultural traditions that are still practiced. The Balinese hold many ceremonies and celebrations throughout the year, many of which can be enjoyed by curious tourists, from the Omed-Omedan kissing festival to the monster parade before the day of silence (Nyepi).
2. Idyllic Beaches
Each beach has its own charm, from soft white sand and limestone cliffs to extreme water sports and diving. From the mainstream Kuta and luxurious Nusa Dua neighborhoods to hidden, remote beaches away from the crowds
3. Lively Religious Scene
The Balinese are spiritual people, predominantly Hindus, and their houses are furnished with a small temple, at which they pray every day. Temple tours are particularly popular among tourists, not only for the religious value but also for cultural insights and aesthetic pleasure
4. Every Kind of Natural Beauty
Bali has virtually every kind of natural beauty. Glorious mountainous areas with lush greenery, scenic lakes, gorgeous waterfalls, iconic rice fields, flower gardens, gushing sacred rivers and secret canyons all make up the island’s landscape.
5. The Culinary Scene
Bali’s traditional meals can be enjoyed as street food or fine dining. Many international chefs are drawn to Bali to learn, create and modify recipes, resulting in neighborhoods lined with restaurants, each with their own concepts. Bali also has no shortage of restaurants with international menus — American, Mexican, Greek, Chinese, French, Indian
Everywhere you go in Bali, you will realize that dance and drama plays a critically important role in the local society. It is through dance and drama that the Balinese learn about the tales of the Ramayana, Mahaborata and other epic stories. Among the best known dance dramas that you can see in Bali are the Baris, a warrior's dance normally performed by men, the Kecak, the Legong and the Barong and Bongola, a dance aobut the struggle between good and evil. The Wayang Kulit or Shadow puppet is one of the great story-telling traditions of the Balinese.
Bali is amazing in many ways. It’s gorgeous, has amazing and affordable food, a great climate, nice lifestyle, friendly people, and a rich and interesting culture and history.
But like every place, there are some downsides, and Bali is no exception. Traffic is crazy. Air pollution is bad from scooters and cars (they have yet to pass air pollution exhaust limits like in Western countries).
