I think the long-term trading is one option to consider if we do not have much free time to observe the graph. In addition it also has a long-term trading profit level is relatively more stable although not greater than the advantages that could result from short-term trading.

In my opinion, short or long time forex trading style is not important. Both of them need traders to take skills for trading well. If you are free, you can work in forex like full time job, you can trade short term. And if not, you could trade in long and use high TF for your chart, you do not have to analyse much. Any way, it is up to you.
I think that, if any person likes to trade in a long term based then, he can go the long term way and if not then short, and it should be his option that what he chose. I see thet. many new traders also like to scalp which is one of the most risky thing to do but still all the trading time frame depends totally on him.
short term trading is my trading style, i dont like trade for a long time, and i dont like my position keep open for a long time, i want my account is clear from all trade when i go to bed and sleep
Short term trading is very popular trading style i think. Many trader trade short term trading. But long term trader is also very good trading style. If trader understand market trend then it work for trader. And trader make big profit.
some persona like to trade in shot time and some persons like to trade as long term trade but i think that short term trade is suitable for me because i have a small money and also i am student so i have not enough time to trade as a long term trade

i personally like the long time trading but sometimes i do it with short time, well in the forex there is a big volatility and you can always success to predict the right direction so i think better to trade always with the best money management and the low risk prossible

i am new but i think we should have long term trading because short term trading gives you loss but long time trading don't gives you loss very small chance of loss but it so difficult to long time trade.

as per the many replies in this thread of different types of forex traders. many forex traders like to trade short time forex trading business, because they can earn good money in short period of time in forex trading business. so, i also prefer to short time forex trading.
Long term investments usually remains tension free as small ups and downs make no difference in long term appreciation, further while you trade long term you either eliinate the risk factor or limit it to a great extent.
To be successful in forex you have to be very careful and very experienced , if you are good at analysis and have good trading skills then you can easily get the trick of earning money from the forex
yes i agree with you main khud hamesha short term trading karti hun or is main mujhe acha profit ho jata hai. start main beginners ko bhi short term trading karni chahye kyu ke is main loss ka risk itna zaida nahi hota hai or long term trading wohi traders karte hain jin ke pass trading ka experience hota hai.
in my view i think that the short time trading is the best because you can open and close positions with a profit and then withdraw and enjoy ,, about the long time trading i think it's for the investors like banks and hedge Funds
I have been trading in the forex market for about one and half year. I have been trading short term in the forex market. I like trading short term in the forex market. Sometimes I like to go long for doing trade in the forex market.
I think short term and long term trading is good, but it is according to demand of time. I think for the new comer short term is better and for the experienced trader should trade in long term to get more profit.
Sometimes it is needed to take long, but sometimes we have to go for short term trading. According to me it is conditional and totally depends on the mind set of traders ki wo wait karke jyada profit lena chahta hai ya phir wo small profits se hi khush rahta hai. New user ko small trading hi karna chahiye.

about me i prefer the long term but i cant trade in it cause it need good balance to trade with cause the u may open a position for days that can any thing happen so you have to has good balance save your trade if something happen and you have to cancel the trade manually.

Many people have reasons for being into either short time frame or long time frame trading. I believe that is what the poster meant by short term and long term trading. Some people have capital issues and believe short term works for them etc. But for me, i would rather go with long term. Many of my losses since i started forex trading has been due to the habit of scalping which is widely know to be a dangerous and stressfully difficult tradin method. So i decided to switch to long term. I came to learn that from a certain successful trader.
Like what you said, everyone should have reasons why they will choose either long term or short term trading strategies. For me, it is because, i'm more better with short term market strategies. It is more simple and has less complexity.
Short term trading I find it better because the majority of investors want to make a profit in the near term, rapid and I see that trading in this way is the closest to investors and private owners of capital small but that was invested with large capital and relies on fundamental analysis, the trading in the long run is the best

I believe that it depends on each individual trader, if I was day trading 1 day trade that is about 2-5 hours with the analysis that I wear it well, the most important thing you can be disciplined and consistent profites !!
I go for short term trading because it suits my trading personality better. I have no endurance running a position for longer time. I have to earn profits or lose the same day. I am comfortable trading scalping and Intra day trading. For me short term trading is more profitable than swing trading.
