i think at least 6 month with demo practicing will works for newbie .int his time they can learn and watch the movement of the market and gather the idea of economic condition .but without any plan or nay strategy there will no advantage of demo trading actually
when I came in forex one of my friend who was experienced trader gave me advised to at least work on demo for 6 months and I ignored him in excitement and I also give the same advise to new people and I hope they listen to this advice.
demo trading with one month is not good idea.
in one month demo trading we can not got good result there is many thing that we need to learn and all things not cover in one months.
in demo account we must trade more thant 2-3 months.
the different is only in deposit and withdraw but every thing else is the same we have to trade on demo as in real account to get the experience and the knowledge about strategies.
demo accounts are widely used by beginner traders to get into the concepts of forex and also even the expert users use them for many purposes like testing their strategy ,MM and even their own EA(or any else) .so as you go in trading you will find the need of demo account every where , so i say that no time limit for demo accounts.
Demo account gives you an idea of how the Forex trading market works. It allows you to establish confidence in dealing with the conditions of the Forex trading market.It is very helpful for beginners.So there is no limit that how long should you practice on demo account .I think you should practice until understand the Forex completely.

so to get acquinted with the trading platform 2days is more than enough or to be precise 48 hrs. spending more time on demo is an unnecessary luxury, a waste of time
right. but i will say even two months is a long period. try demo to learn how to use the platform well for two weeks and then open a real account with a small deposit and start learning the forex market. always use real to learn
