You are ready when you get a successful strategy, you can know that its successful when your indicators give you a perfect entry points, a perfect exit points.

I think you're ready for real trading if you have demo trade for at least 3 consecutive profitable months in a row. Secondly, when you have developed your own trading strategy.

"When do I know I am ready for the real thing ?" I am ready when: 1). I have enough capital to trade; 2). Demo trading has good result, nice profit for many continuing months

You have to get one strategy which is bringing profit in demo trading. Moreover when you have some capital, you can go to real market. We don't have to keep waiting to enter real market as we will learn many things from it.

after gaining knowledge about the trade and making a trading strategy one needs to practice enough in demo accounts to make sure that they are able to achieve desired results from their knowledge and trading strategy.

Once traders make profit in demo accounts on regular basis and ae high on confidence they can trade from real accounts.

Also it is very important for traders to treat demo account as real account and the money in it as real money and then practice his trading strategy and control his emotions.Then he will get same results while trading in real account.

well it may just be that the market was just like that probably you would have also experienced loss in the demo that day experience loss in the real the only difference is that you might have used too big lot in the real since you're expecting profit

When i was trading in the starting in the Demo account i was able to understand the markets and thus i came to know that i can make profits from the business of Forex.
