i think that one year is enough for you to get the required information about the forex market , and as we all know there is so much to be learned about the forex market before getting involved into the real forex market trading , so as we all know you have to be a well practiced to be a good trading in the forex market . :)
time to learn forex in 1 year should be able to get the feeling to make a good analysis, but in reality many traders who have spent more than a year. for working in front of computer monitors trading, very short time, so that no time was already running more than one year

Many things can be done to increase your chances of success and one thing

I think one year is enough time to develop the skill of forex strategy and trading techniques but it varies traders to traders to become a efficient trader.although there is no specific time to become a good traders but if you work hard i hope you will be a skillful trader before one year.it depends on your concentration,hard working and patient on forex.it may take more than one year or less than one year.if you are very serious to learn forex i think it is enough time.
