according to my calculations there is a formula that I use to test whether a person can really trading or not yet ready to market the actual, it is very easy when a trader is the practice of using a demo account how many pips that he get at least 1 month later when the balance increases how a trader was able to make it balance out if a trader is ripe I'm sure he can ..

in my opinion we should spend about 6 to 7 months in the demo trading account to learn the forex well and to do good practice in the forex so thats why i prefer to do the forex trading for 6 months minimum not less then 6 months.
-
i think one month is must for demo trading and then we do good in real trading and make good profits so after one month need to use low volumes in real account and earn low profits in the start so its good for your future trading
-
Al though forex helps us by gives us money , but we should not spend much time in it . There are many students in this forex . They should keep it up their study . I think 2,3 hours is much for it .
-
demo is just for practicing and develop some new strategies..so when u feel that now you can trading in a live trading than just do it...but be careful...
-
in my opinion we should spend about minimum six to seven months in the forex trading to do more and more practice in the forex trading and to earn a good knowledge and experience from the forex trading and also to gain analysis.
-
i think real live account trade is very serous and important time for every forex trader so every one must be try and practice minimum 6 month or above for learning properly in forex trade and this time is must be practice before start real account.
-
there is no time limit for you to play with a demo account. If you feel you are proficient enough, it would not hurt if you try to use a live account.
use of capital that you are willing to think out. use the one cent accounts first before using a standard account. by using a real account, you will be mentally formed by itself. on a demo account, you can not form a mental / psychological you as a trader.
-
the risk is small if we use a demo account different mental pressure if used alone account deposits
there are a lot of advantages as well as relaxing yet could profit in wd .. like the demo but could bridge the serious

i think it's all depend on how fast you can learn and develop your trading skill and of course you must control your emotion also before you go for a real account,, may be if you can be consistent in demo account for 3 month then you can move on to real account and may be you need around 1 year to be a good and consistent trader
