i think it has both sides . if a trader has enough capital he can go for long term trading . and if a trader has not enough capital in hand he should rely on small time trading .i personaly like small time trading .because if a trade goes in loss with in short time we are in position to close this trade. otherwise it can go further in loss.

Both are profitable.there are many people who are doing there regular outdoor job and cant give trades much time.For them Forex is like short term online task.They trade for some hours and are happy with little profit.I have seen many traders who are spending there much of time in placing right trades in right time and are earning a lot everyday.For them long term trades are enjoyable.

It is depend on a trader.Because some trader like long time trade and some trader like short time trading.
But two are good .But many good trader says forex market short trading are very risky.i think it is true.
I think long term trading is most profitable but i am newbie in forex therefore i am using short term trading because short term trading is not difficult for newbie and can get good trading in short term and after when get alot experience then newbie should start long term trading.
