Well it depends and varies from trader to trader, most trader prefer able to control their emotions and trade with patience mind that's why the used to trade on a long term basis and due to this reason they will be in a reasonable profit. On the other hand i always used to trade on short term basis there are two prime reasons is closed with me, that sometimes i becomes emotional on the course of trading and the next reason is my investment is very limited to go for trading for a long period of time to get bigger profit.
Those who all trade here for making more and more profit I would suggest them to go for long term trading because in the long term trading the ration of profit is more than that of short term trading and also the risk ratio is very less that is why.
I like trading short term because ther is no telling what will hapen in the future, the market may plunge and your profits and everything else would let you down, you would understna what you are doing is what can help you make money.

i think every trading strategy can be used to trade short term or for using in long term but we must adjust the parameters such as the level of stop loss or take profit.

well i think boths are equal because some traders are experts in short term trading and they are usualy low patience traders and they always want to gets a profit very quickly and some one like long term trading and they have alots of patience and they wait for the right time and when they feels that its the right time to trade so then they trade a makes alots of money ,

it depends on whether you are full time trader or not. i think part trader should not prefer long time trading over short time. actually expert traders count their profit in pips not in how much dollar you have earned. so most of the experienced trader choose full time trading as from full time trading it is easy too earn much pips than short time trading. good luck mate!Quote:

As a new trader my invest in forex is small so i have trading in forex as short term basis. I presume that by short term trading i can earn more profit what i can reinvest in my trading for long term trading but i also know that short term trading is so much risky for this reason i have also follow risk management in my trading.

Yes we can do exceed trading with titanic capital but no incertitude that people who jazz littler capital can also clear a beautiful amount of profit but they poverty to be unaccented term trader and should trade at least 5 hours in a day.

that is a good idea, i think you have good thinking to save our profit so when we get a loss, our profit is not affected because we has been withdraw it.
so make a routinely withdraw is very important to do. as you say do in weekly basis, but for me better to make withdraw in monthly basis :)
Hey dude Im the new trader in forex market and also i have invest small capital for trading currency but my dream is that want to become successful trader in forex so i want to invest more capital what i can earn by short term trading in forex.
I prefer long term forex trading because It gives me more guarantee and I am more safe in my trading plan. create a long term plan to trade and create strategy for long term trading. But it is not bad if someone decides to trade with short term. it depends on your capacity.
for i am a biginner trader and i prefer a short time trader because i don't have enought capital to trade for a long time but i think a short time trading is very profitable than a long time because it more safe and there is more chances.

kiu ke apna pese jitni der tak companey ke pass rehta he ..

I consider long term trading have lesser risk but one should analyse for good fundamentals the instrument one want to go long with and ensure that use very low leverage and we can open long as well short for quick profit and long for handsome profit but all is need to good experience and skill in forex.
i am always doing short trade ...because my capital is very small...also in short time trade there is more chances to win..in long trade the time is taking too..
short term trading is good for some people but it is hard to manege lots of profit by doing it short time , long time trading is always good for making lots of profit as well gating lots of experience .
the someone trade in a example a few so that I can get a profit in the point of abstraction a few fast, but hour long time system is for institutions and larger companies that vest in the extendable run

Short term Forex trading is little risky then long term. In short term traders are give high bid who is more risk. you must have perfect knowledge to trade short term trade. other ways it can risky. and for long term trade you can recover your loss who is not possible in short term.
In my opinion the best from these trading types is the second,but you can be sure that you can finish it.There's reasons,that can prevent to your trade,like you miss your emotions and all get wrong ; the electricity stop and you lost your trade and etc.
Actually i use small amount of capital that inhibits me to go for long term. Those who have sufficient fund can go for long term & I usually trade in hour frame.
