you can trade with pairs which you feel comfortable as no currency pairs are volatile all the time but trading lotsize of 0.01 will be very low risk of trading and i feel that would be safe as a beginner there are more chances for a newbie to loose money it is always advised to start with less capital and trade in small lot size. I think any amount between 50$ - 100 $ is ideal for a newbie to start with.

i m a newbie and i think that 200$ to 250$ account will be good for me.I am mostly trading eurousd and usdjpy.i will stay away from gold until i gain more experience.I'll use small lot size making low but consistent profit.
experience also needed for batter earning forex market is very risky so lot of possibility lose money because if you want to investment become a successful trader in forex as a beginner then you should start with small capital.
