Of course i agree with you forex contests are very important to improve our knowledges and our experiences in forex trading market. i think it's better that still on demo account because on demo you don't not care to loss,but in contest you will car on every thing happened on your account.
You enter the contest may not guarantee victory in the trading contest. Of course many rivals who play and follow the master of this contest. But it is also good to measure the quality of your strategy.
If a trader is going to take part in the demo accounts then it means that he is going to practice and in the demo contests he is more attentive because he also want to make the better trades so that he is able to win the prize.I think demo contests are much better then the simple demo accounts because of more attention from the trader.
yes i do agree with that participation in competition can surely increase our confedance when we win or get a high position , and the money earned is used to trade and gain some more experiance in trading
Competitions are thrown to the traders for both real traders and demo traders. When the demo traders participate in such competitions that will increase their responsibility and awareness much, as the rewards from here are real money and they can even use them for trade in real account.

Participating in forex competitions can greatly help to improve a traders confidence and experience, because unlike just trading a demo account a trader trading in contest will take trading more seriously since there is a prize to be won or at least the ego of being among the top traders in the competition
I think participating in a trade contest would be misleading. Because the trading contest will focus more on the occasional triumph, you tend to trade and analyze more than usual, which makes you more likely to push yourself over the limit. In addition, the competition increases the greed I think, because you are willing to trade to win as many pips as possible to win.
