As far as I know, The spread of any pair or object depends upon the volatility of that pair. The Gold prices are very volatile and it changes every second. So, This is the main reason behind this. Moreover, This also depends upon the complete lot price of the pair.
Trading along with gold build traders a lot of profit as a result of gold can make a lot of actions on a day and this needs a lot of capital to trade on gold as a result of of the spread and because the liquidity and volatility is much more on gold the actual spread is actually greater. Ap sahi kah rhy hai mostly pairs main spread 1 sa 7 pips tak hotah hai lakin Gold main ye 60 pips ka hai us ki waja ye hai ka gold main risk zad ha is ki movement ziada hai Gold ki avarage movement 1500 plus pips hai jo ka ao din ki movement ha ye ak din main 40 dollars tak move kar leta hai is waja sa is main spread bhi ziada rakha gia hai.
