this is a good place to learn and get practice and after the newbies feel ready to go to real account so why not?
they can open real account and then make implement their strategies that they had practiced at demo account
i just took and got practice for 5 hours 4 years ago and then i opened micro account to continue my practicing to got the psychological trading, it was the better experience for me.we r like this job.

but people do not take demo trading seriously and they are not realizing how good it can be for a trader and we can really see the differnce if we try out in demo. This is why almost all the site provide us demo trading and that really shows thew importance of demo trading.

It depends on the trader's quality. Someone can learn a very good lessor in a week. Someone can spend a month. I think 2 week continue demo trading is enough to learn most of the important things.

It is depend trader acceptability because if a trader give full concentration during the trade then for a trader 6 month is quite enough for the trader and i think after that this trader can be good trader and can get good profit continuously.

I think that we spend as much time when we see that wee the completely able to make trading real online account successfully. when we feel that we overcome all the difficulties that may occur while the trading.
Some people achieve his target in less time but some take long time to learn every thing about the trading. So it has no limit that how time we give in Demo account its depend upon you.

I think there is already a topic opened regarding this. well usually for a beginner minimum 3 months is recommended, but even though they trade well in demo some fail perform in live account as they get nervous. I usually enter the contest as well as a training tool because if I win I will get a free capital as a prize contest.

for me to trade in a demo account required a long time, because even though we are not just a demo account is also easy to be able to turn a profit, it needs a good and proven strategies can produce. but we also should not be too long in the demo, because if it is too long then we will be a long time also to make money.

my advice is before demo trading to read several forex a books and study on some strategies.and for example choose one strategy and always follow it for at least one month on demo account,and please write down the wins and looses and analyze it if it is a working strategy.until you will find a very nice strategy,so it may takes months don't forget it is better then loosing too much money just for practicing your trading skills.then when you will ready and your strategy works very well for a few months then it is time to study on emotional discipline.dont forget success in forex 90% is controlling of emotions.like not to be greedy and not to over trade,not to get angry when loose a trade,not to try to take revenge from markets,and being patient these are all emotional study
