well depends on your trading strategy. If you are swing trading and targeting 100-200 pips for a trade then 1-2 pips extra for opening a trade doesn't matter to you but if you are day trading or scalping and targeting not more than 10-15 pips for one trade then i must say that even 1-2 pips extra spread can hurt your profits.
