i do short term trading because my capital is not big..with small capital long term trading for me seems to be more riskier.. so i collect small pips and then trade accordingly
short time trading or for me scalping is a good system. and day trading is too. but for weekly and mounthly. i never trade for long time. because for me. everyday has it own trend. because of this assumption, i just gonna hold my trade no more then one day.
as i observed, normally the new traders will choose to trade using the short term trading but after time goes by i think most of them who were newbies

well i think that both of the tradings depend upon your strategies and the method of your trading. you can do both types of trading.
