It is not necessary that you learn by mistakes But it is human nature that if we keep getting success then we don think our strategies an we just carry on. But when we face loss, then we look back and rethink our strategies. this is called trial and error. As in beginner stage, you dont have any experience so it is obvious that you will face loss. that is why it is recommended that you use demo account to learn and test your strategies.

When we say experience we say time, so the more you spend time in the forex, the more you learn how to deal with it , and of course it is like a baby learninig how to walk,your first steps are always not perfect , you Can get down but never give up ! We learn from our mistakes and is so important to analyse why did we lost : it is the study of the trading history ,then we can evaluate our tools used before ( indicators, strategies..) however loss is not the unique origin of experience because we learn from sharing others their problems and plans

you can get experience from profit as well as loss , but if you have done any mistake in your trading then yoiu must analyse that mistake so that same mistake should not be repeated again in the future,
There are somehting that you have to do that is get expected experience that you should have in that whenyou take a loss there is a place that you can get the experience from that loss
