Relies on investors,how much they discovered from those practice records. I think 6 month is enough but yes if investors are not getting assurance,they can improve enough time by analyzing themselves and their information.
I think we learn in the demo account does not have to think about how long. important we learn in the demo account until we actually have the readiness and capability is excellent. so when we get into a real account, we will have no trouble in the trade, and the easier it is to gain profit in forex trading. because it's obvious we have to be serious in learning demo account.

two to three months a serious practice with a perfect money management with the help of good analysis technique will be enough ..in this 2-3 months we can learn lots of things and get some real idea about market movement ..we shouldn't be hurry about running real trading before we got any kind of confidence ..excitation sometimes kill our strategy even our career
whena trader is confident and has learned some indicators and practiced their trading style and also back tested their strategy and make regular profits then they can start to trade from real account . There is no fixed time specified anywhere for spending in demo account and it is up to a trader .
