In my experience during trading forex, I combine the technical indicator and fundamental indicator, but when some news releases I see that the technical indicators are not functioned. I mean the price can move towards with the indicators/technical signal. In this case I wait maybe 2 - 3 minutes to make sure that impact os the news has gone, and if i see everything is normal I can trade again.
Having knowledge of technical analysis is not useless even if the trader knows how to use fundamental analysis. This is because it is not all the time that news events come out and not all news event that affect the market. Also, when news come out the effect tends to stall around a support or resistance area. Knowledge of technical analysis will help you determine this area

t really depends on the trader what type of analysis he wants to use so that the profits from the markets are there to stay with him.When there is a major correction in the markets it is due to a Fundamental change which he needs to be aware of and when the market is moving in small or trading range of 50 pips then technical analysis will be the best bet for him

i think both of tehnikal analysis and fundamental analysis is important for you as new trader so be carreful to read an analysis because it can help you to take a profit that you wnat but sometimes it can make you loss. so an analysis is important both of the analysis
