both are good. it depends on the trading strategy of each trader if trader prefers to try to to short term trading or long term trading. some traders choose to do scalping in order that they do short term trading and aim at profits of few pips , whereas there are some traders who trade on fundamental analysis and do long term trading and keep their position open for long.
for me i like short term Forex trading than long term Forex trading , as i can manage my deals in short term more than at long term , and the losing in long term is bigger than the losing in short term , so i love to make many short deals than a few long deals .

i am a short term forex user because it take many time to make profit and that time i can not do any work for long time. i have to do also other work too...
Well I usually trade on LONG TERM cause it's completely risk free but when I got signal from my special indicator than I do a manual tally in on short frame like M5 and M1. If you want to do scalp than M5 is for you and for this type of trading you have to be 1000 times serious and you are about your dream girl. Cause, Scalping is a kind of challenge with your own. But I think as a human being you have also a lot work to do in your real life so, for this reason I wanna suggest you to do trade in H1 frame it's for professionals.
I always target long term trading but as a new my mind say just go for short term to get proper knowledge from here after getting that you be able to go for long term.
I accept long term trading.that is why in short time no profit grow or no experience grow in the forex market.in long term trading you may get a proper progress from trading. long term trading needs large capital investment and patience.

In my view I can not be a short time trader, but I always exit my trades soon and lost a lot of money. So I made a written trading plan, and take it seriously, then I found I can control myself, I advise this method in some other thread also I think.
I am Personally think that Short term or Long term both can be Profitable depend to Trader Experiences.. If you can not be Patience and feel so much Anxiety then you should Trade Short term, but if you don't have much time to observe the Chart, then you should be Long term Trader..
