I think there is no specific time period to be successful trader in forex. to be successful there can be take one or two or more time to be a successful trader. hmm it is true to that to familiar with those terminology near about one is enough.
So demo trade is very much helpful for making trade but to me you are the first who trade in demo for six months i think you can now understand the market sentiment and the trend where it is said that trend is the friend of forex trader that but i still use demo for test my strategy and analysis its good you spend that much time on demo trading it will help you in real trading and To fight fear and greed by creating rules that force you not to overtrade or overleverage be afraid of taking an opportunity or closing a trade too early
i think one year is much time for understanding forex trading. in which a person can gain better experience and understand every up and down in trading, because he face goodness and badness in business, that tell his better and bad, conscious process of men never complete till the face many problem in trading.
Trade in forex using demo account for six months is well but mainly it depened on the ability of the trader that is So now the time is to analyse your trading till Demo trading is the key to success in real Forex trading till actually i am a new trader in forex trading market still i am learning trading and i am practicing in a demo account and i have practiced for months I am sure you have lots of strategies to do in your real account
