Of course i totally agree with you , above 3% of your account you put your capital in more risk , we should know that money here is very important to be protected as it is the key to make more money , so i prefer not to take higher risk while trading ,

Hi all,for me i put my risk when open trade are 5% from my capital,that mean if i had 100usd,my position that allow me to open are 0.05 usd,frim this way,im to far to get margin call.

When anyone come in Forex business he must needed to follow risk management rule. I think its good for your forex account if you risk 2% during trade depends on your capital its better for you.

there is no way to aviod risk in the forex market but as a good traders you should minimize the percentage of risk as much as you can to keep your capital safe, for my i put 5% risk for any trade i open......

I am new user and risk for me is 100%. I am working on demo account till now and going to start trade in real account very soon. I have lack of experience so risk factor for me is more than 100% because i have not yet got any profit and whatever i am doing is just a risk nothing else.
well as we have known that the very best way to protect our account is to make use of small lot and risk 3 percentage of our account so i think with proper money management we can learn how to protect our account, and stop lose also go a very long way in protecting our account, and trading without emotion gos a long way too

My risk changes per trade. Sometimes it is 1%, sometimes 2%. I try and keep this at 1% because it is safer to be a lower risk.

yes 1-3 percent is save and good money management but the hard thing to do is about our dicipline to apply it in real trade,usually my emotion always involpe while trading its always make me broke up my own rule,so i use about 3-5% now and its comfort me.so i start to analyze the market,set my OP with 3-5%lot,set SL and TP the turn my pc off to avoid my emotion while tradings.Quote:

well it's difficult for me. I'm a newbie of forex in those day I'm trying to know the money management it's really difficult for me bcoz it's my first time in trade i was never did trade in past. So I'll try harder to take risk 0% per trade. But i know one things no risk no gain.

more risk--->more profit....but this comes with the fear of huge loss.
so it depends on the skills of the person...
for sometime as a beginner you have to be content with lesser profits till you gain some experience ..
risk per trade that I use is between 2% -10%. with a capital of $ 100 I was using 0.01 lot with profit targets 50pips and stop loss 100pips. for small capital like me trade useing of 0:01 lots is very reasonable when using 2% -10% of my capital.
