There is no spacific time to make a trader it depends on your strategy. I think that a year is not enough time for a successful trader you have many years to give a smooth and professional Forex trader forex. So you have to practise more and more to be a successful forex trader within a year.
Six months is not enough to get experience in different season in whole year. thus, what trader need is a proof, they must capable t let alone I had traded about 5 month before i start live trading till nly have 3 months demo trading practice and it's enough for me accordingly Demo trading is not just for beginners to have experience trading but also for those traders who want to practice their skills and strategies in trading.

i think This depends on whether or not our view of forex itself, because until now I still feel the feelings and thoughts how sick I was when a loss or margin call.

One year is quite enough time for some traders and for some traders it is very short time to even learn the basics of trading. There are various factors involved : Passion of the trader is one factor , I Q is another factor, mental stability is another one , personal attributes like greed , fear etc. are also important factors . Now some people with experience are quick learners and some are not . So it entirely depends on the individual personality and you can't give time frame generally to learn Forex.
there is no specific time for it, maybe the trader can make it with faster or slower and honestly, here was my experiences that my first years was the hardest for my trading and at this time, i had to learn with harder to know my mistakes and problem and then complete and fix them..
maybe i am a slowe trader to get the understanding about forex, ... and until now i still learn how to keep stable and make profit with consistent
