i prefer short term trading only.Because i hate to hold the trade for long terms like 1week or 1month.Maybe only organizations will trade like that.
Almost the individual traders will do short term tradings only.Maybe very few individual traders wil do long term.
yes,but i think they lose in many dollars and not in pips.
and mostly i think that long term traders wont get margin call easily as they will be more planned and their risk factor will be less.
according to me short term trading is good n in long term trading one can loss r he may be always thinkin bout tht long trem trading. best to start the trade in morning n end in night so can sleep with out fear of the market.
Short term forex trading is done by most of the people. I also like to do short term trade. The reason behind this is that i have small capital invested in such huge market. If anyone want to do long term forex trading, he should have a large capital in his account and also aware of the long term trend. I will like to trade long term but there is problem of capital that why doing short term trading.

Those who started new trading dont have good knowledge and experience...and this trader usually prefer the short term trading like scalping ....because due to less knowledge they prefer for short analysis ,,,and short term tradingQuote:

I was trying short term trading for years and now I decided I can not plan for 50 or 100 pips per trade and I have decided that I have to wait for longer and looking for long term trading now and I am sure I will get better result by the long term and there is going to be less risk and maybe more profit.
Wheather we do Long term or short term trading, risk will be same and it only depends on our trading strategy.
But i feel long term trading requires good patience and will be sometimes boring when no profit is made for a continuous trades running in loss.
I think short term trading is much better than long term because in long term we don't have clear idea of any pair. But in short term we take our profit or cut our loss and take a side.
The economical situations of the world economy is so quickly changing that long term trading is much more dangerous than short term.
