i always prefer long term trade.. but to learn trading you need to do short term trade... in short term trade new traders gets to see profit/loss almost every day.. which is why they learn lot of good point.. in short term trading.. and its full of up and downs.
That is true for me also, most of the time my orders will be with floating negative profit, and when they turn in to positive i tend to close them with the fear of again turning in to negative side and result in very low profit.Quote:

i think you are wrong.Even you can get big profits from short term trades also.But for that you need to take big risks.So it is wrong to say short term low profits and longterm big profits.
when ever any new trader come in forex trading then he choose short term trading like scalping.
in my view short term trading is little bit hard for newbie because it need a hug experience. newbie first start their trading long term. with the help of long term trading experience they are able to do good scalping trading also.
i prefer short term trading only.Because i hate to hold the trade for long terms like 1week or 1month.Maybe only organizations will trade like that.
Almost the individual traders will do short term tradings only.Maybe very few individual traders wil do long term.
yes,but i think they lose in many dollars and not in pips.
and mostly i think that long term traders wont get margin call easily as they will be more planned and their risk factor will be less.
i am a short term trader.Mostly i will not have open trades more than a day.My target will not be higher than 100pips.My average TP will be 50pips.
hmm after 1 day or week you may analyze and you will think day trading is good but after few months you can see the difference when you compare the results and profit after few months and long term trader can be more successful in longer version but in short term he may look in lose so peopl who are really trying to depend on forex then long term is a solution for themQuote:

Yes you are right. People do not have to go with short term trading for most of the times but they have to do long term trading also. Because if the economic condition of the currency is weak or good from this we decide trend and keep our position for long term. I think in long term we will get more return than short term.
Short term forex trading is done by most of the people. I also like to do short term trade. The reason behind this is that i have small capital invested in such huge market. If anyone want to do long term forex trading, he should have a large capital in his account and also aware of the long term trend. I will like to trade long term but there is problem of capital that why doing short term trading.

if you are a scalper and you can handle it well..then i think that it is good that you trade on short term and you can make more profit with it...but it needs more knowledge and also risk is more....and also you need to be on terminal all the time in order to get a good result from short term trading....but if you are an intraday or other type of trader, then you should aim at long term trading ....you can open some positions and apply SL and TP on that and then you can relax...so i think that it all depends on different traders style....

Yes, it depend on trader to trader as to what type of trading he like. But also quite much depends on circumstances and limitations. As i am interested in long term trading but dont have enough capital and so have no option but to go with short term trading which bears considerably more risk.Quote:

I think short term forex trading is more profitable than the long term trading becouse in long term trading if we get in loss we will in big loss and it's opposite in short term trading.
I agree with you, I also like short term trading because price of pairs is fluctuating and coming up and down so we should get some profit of this volatility and short term trading is best for this type of market conditions. for me i like the long term tradin i guess its better than the short term because when you open in long term so it seems that you should not stay and see what happen to the matket just open position and select a terget and let it but in the short term always stay at the computer and do deal and close it

It depends on the trading style of a trader and if you are able to make profits by trading short term then you should continue with the same but I personally feel long term trading is more profitable.Quote:
