you are right, but i think large margin is very needed by this strategies and how if the trader only have a little funds for it?i used scalping, intra day and also long term and i used them depended to the condition...

you are right, no matters what's strategies we use for scalping, intra day or long term , as long as we can get profit as target so we can achieve our purpose and the important thing how we make it consistent,,,that's the problem
me too, i prefer used short time than long term because i just have a little funds on my balance and also i really like short term, i can get the profit with fast and as long as i do with careful there is nothing problem with long term or short term
the conclusion is it depends to the trader what strategies will they choose

yeah..that's true it must depend on person to person that which type of trading behavior fits he or she most.. because as you told cumil lots of people invest in long-term for their plans of future like needs returns for theirs kids high studies or some deposit after their retirement so that they will live happily life after their retirement....And those trader will have other job too..they are not just depend on forex market only..while short-term trader are those who generally earn money for their living beings.. such type of trader some daily profit..because forex is like job for them and most of such trader not have other work..just depend on forex only.Quote:

short term trade is good coz we can sit there enjoy some pips and then take off but in long term trade we need to have a lot more attention on fundamentals and market news and also long term trade requeires some strategy to pull good hand some amount of profit from it.
even i use D1 chart for long term trades which i finish up by the end of the week or couple of days, and also sometimes peek into H4 chart to get a preview if so but never go to any else of the charts coz it just increses the confusion and also a lot bad for long term trade
not necessarily short term trading is that scary buddy coz in short term trade you need to keep focus on the trend and also incoming news updates, you can even gain with short term trade yes but not how much you can on a long term trade but you can benefit

I agree with you... But I do short time daily based trading and I too do not get margin calls often. Not necessarily that one bad trade in short term can finish everything. If we manage our capital properly then our account will not be subjected to margin call. Without proper money management one bad trade can finish not only short term trade but also long term trade. Short or long term trades do not have any bearing whether we are gonna be successful or not.Quote:
