Of course knowledge is very good for any trader, by the knowledge a trader can learn how to earn a lot of money this is very good for a trader, the confidence is very good for a trader, by the knowledge is very good for a trader specially if he has a good strategy
I believe that both are very important and vital for the trader to suceed. A trader without any knowledge cant earn profits with just confidence asd a trader with knowledge can not achieve anything if he is not confident enough about his choices. I think that these two bring a balance for a trader to be sucessful.

There are people who are usually confident that they are fast learners and will gain when they trade. so when they learn the first time it will be sufficient for the trade but I think in Forex the basic knowledge is important but not enough you have to keep looking for more information. So I would say, you need both confidence and knowledge to succeed in Forex.
