I think you can keep it open for a certain period, i have keep my longest trade opened for more than 3-4 days, so yes we can keep it open as long till we have enough capital to keep this trade running.
different brokers have different rules . good brokers let the trade to be open until trader wants but there are also some traders who close the trade after specific time of period so there is no specific time during about to close trade but if you use stop loss and take profit then when market will touch either stop loss or take profit price and will close automatically.
I think, that there is no limitaotn of tyme keeping, this very fantastic to saying, that we can trade as long as we want, but I think that to much long trade is not necessry for profit, we want to trade for normal tyme, this will better.
